01.10.2026
On October 1st, the EASI Lab welcomed two new research associates to the team.
Francesca Galasso joined the lab as a research associate and lecturer in the ENB-funded Master's programme Earth System Dynamics and Evolution at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her research combines palaeobotany, palynology, and quantitative approaches to understand how biodiversity, ecosystems, and plant-environment interactions have responded to environmental change throughout Earth's history.
Vincent Wilkens joined the lab as a research associate and lecturer in the ENB-funded Master's programme Ecological Forecasting at the University of Bayreuth. His research interests span machine learning, quantitative ecology, paleoecology, island biogeography, and forest ecology, with a focus on understanding ecological and evolutionary responses to environmental change.
Welcome to the EASI Lab, Francesca and Vincent!
